2020 challenged individuals and the economy. With COVID-19 changing social habits, changing the way people interact and changing the way everybody shopped our high streets were feeling the pressure. As the UK switched in-and-out of lockdown our retailers quickly adapted to support their customers.

Quickly identifying the imminent retailer challenges, Stafford Borough Council actioned a considered and creative approach to support the borough’s three high streets. Utilising available European Funding the council identified the most effective approach: create a marketing campaign that will inspire consumers to shop local and support their retailers.

Inspired by Verso’s location in the heart of the borough our unique and ownable campaign considers a much, much bigger picture. Knowing how great the towns are inspired the ‘Our Beautiful Borough’ thread to motivate shoppers and love the space they’re in.
The location of each town is represented by our retail triangle – a graphic icon that holds imagery reflective of each town. It’s beautifully simple with endless permutations beyond the initial launch.
Our resulting campaign unites all three towns, bringing them together as retailers and shoppers. Stronger together, All For One.
Our campaign launched with a visually engaging website ourbeautifulborough.co.uk designed to showcase the diversity of each town and their retailers.
